Four Months Old

Tyson is four months old today! He has gone through quite a growth spurt coming in at 15 pounds 12.5 ounces and 27 inches long. He LOVES to scream and squeals with delight at the sound of his voice. He has found his feet but can’t quite get his belly to cooperate when trying to grab for them. He can roll from his back to his side but hasn’t figured out how to get from his side to his belly. He can scoot on his back to reach a toy…or to turn and see the television. He is a busy, busy, busy boy!

3 Months Old

Tyson is three months old today and has changed soooo much in one month. He has discovered his voice and loves to talk…to anyone that will listen. He shines his flirty grin whenever someone says hello. He squeals with delight when he is happy or excited. He loves to face out in any carrier now so that he doesn’t miss a thing…ever. He would rather stand, assisted, than sit or lie down. He loves to stare at his hands…and suck on his fists. He has begun to grab hold of toys and pull them towards his mouth. He loves his lovey- a tag blanket- and settles right down when he gets it and his pacifier. He is hands down the love of my life and the most amazing, handsome-ist, smartest, charming, funny, adorable, stinky faced baby EVER!

The End of a Clothing Era

I packed up all of Ty’s newborn and zero to three month clothing today…I can’t believe how quickly he’s growing. There were soooo many cute outfits he never even got a chance to wear.
My favorite “what-is-that-on-his-shirt? outfit”…I figured it was a porcupine, but no one could ever tell. Either way, it was one of my favorite outfits and I am sad to have to pack it up already.
The sleeper he wore the night he got home from the hospital…
His very first outfit: the shirt from the hospital and the hat our delivery nurse made for Ty while I was in labor…

2 Months Old

Baby Ty is two months old! He had a really rough morning today. He woke up all smiles…only to have to endure his two month shots hours later. Honestly, they were MUCH harder for mommy than Ty. Mommy cried longer than he did.
Current stats:
12 pounds 6 ounces
23 inches long
Newest tricks:
– smiles
– coos and talks
– discovered his hands and has just about found his thumb…finds it and then sucks it for awhile and then loses it
– soothed by pacifier

Pregnancy Scrapbook Part 2

To keep track of each month I made two-sided tags: one side had a calendar that noted important dates the other side provided space for journaling.

Pregnancy Scrapbook Part 1

My pregnancy scrapbook…the cover.
I decided to make it a tag and envelope scrapbook. Almost every page consists of an envelope and tag that slides inside.
We framed this poem and wrapped it as my dad’s birthday present…
1st DRs Appointment
The Big Ultrasound…a double tag with the results underneath…
For our favorite names I made separate girl and boy envelopes. Each tag was double sided with my favorite names on one side and my husband’s on the other…
I decided to keep track of the names our families suggested…there were some pretty funny ones.

These two pages mark the beginning of the monthly pages…
