Jake had his two week check up yesterday and did very well. While we worried at the hospital about his weight loss and latching issues, he certainly has made up for lost time. When we left the hospital he had lost a few ounces and was 7 pounds 9 ounces. Today, at his visit he had gained a pound- weighing in at 8 pounds 10 ounces. Now I know why he’s been eating around the clock! He’s been growing…

Our long and lean Jake’s two week stats:

8 pounds 10 ounces

22 inches (he grew an inch and a half)

I stare and stare at his face and don’t see any of Ty though people often tell me otherwise…and I had to take a picture of him in the car seat because I know in a matter of weeks he’ll look vastly different in it. We’ll likely have to take out the extra insert soon as well.
